Decided to lay down & rest and was promptly covered in cats.

Discussed the rumored layoff anticipated at the end of the month with tech colleagues. No idea who will be impacted yet.

Contemplated whether I should include someone feeding our fish in our worst case scenario plan or if I should trade my fish back to the fish store and dissemble, empty, & store my aquarium to simplify how much friends need to help if anything happens.

Cleaned and prepped some of my beekeeping gear this afternoon and contemplated who I'd ask to watch my bee hives if I have to leave.

I spent some time contemplating whether I might be able to fit 2 of our 3 cats in our one larger cat carrier if we have to flee to better fit them & the 60 lb dog & our other necessary go-items.(3 cats in one carrier despite it's larger size is obviously not an option, but 2... 🤔)

Went to my weekly counseling.

Realized that I need to remember to pack my mother's ashes in our go-bag.

Picked up fancy embroidery floss for in progress stress crafting.

Picked up the dog's medication & almost have an extra 30 days worth for our go-bag.

Started with the realization that the executive branch entirely ignoring the judicial branch's rulings cuts away one of the core pathways I anticipated being able to protect my family from being disappeared.
