So then you get someone like me.... too afraid to commission the wrong artist, doesn't know what questions to ask in order to avoid getting screwed, and is priced out of the market because the cost is so high. So you end up with a ref sheet and maybe 1 other art piece that you got out of sheer luck.

Problem #2: The furry artist knows their limits so they limit the amount of commissions they take but not only crank up the cost, they do a raffle just to get a spot and because they are good, popular and do good work, getting a commission done by said artist is expensive, and next to impossible.

Problem #1: They take so many commissions that they become back-qued for longer than a year, but don't stop taking commissions because they need the money. Never catch up and you either never see the commission or they finally get to it a year later but rush it and it's not what you wanted.

To be honest, this is why I haven't had a commission done in ages. I know your situation is different but I've had nothing but nightmare experiences commissioning art. Not only has the cost become so expensive but every furry artist I consider commissioning have 1 of 2 problems.
