It’s one year since my publisher sent us this exciting video of my first book rolling off the production line. Where did that time go? 🤷‍♂️
If you need that last minute pressie for the dog lover in your family, it’s a bargain at the current price.

I love my job, genuinely, but currently on a rolling three month contract, dependent on funding, and...a little bit stressed. Thinking it may be time for something more permanent if anyone is looking for an experienced policy and comms person.

The UK has 160 black professors (25% are women) out of a total of 22,885.

UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) offers funding opportunities, 81% of awards go to white applicants, 1% to black.

The statistics are likely to discourage black scholars from pursuing academic/science careers.

Need action.

I'm not doing Black Friday discounts this year.
It’s just me in my Manchester studio. I can't compete with big brands slashing prices.

My period of mourning happened quicker than we hoped,my beloved husband died on Monday and we made funeral arrangements today, when we queried how many to cater for I said I like the old custom of sending out invitations but suspected it would bankrupt me @katestrasdin.bsky.social

Honestly, I'm about to waste a £60 ticket for the BRILLIANT French singer Zaho de Sagazan, from 7pm at the Palladium. Please can someone take it. I can't make it. She is amazing. I'm gutted.

It took just 8 minutes for thieves to steal the Napoleonic-era crown jewels from the Louvre. There weren't enough cameras and the ones there were there were facing the wrong way.

Could a 50-year-old maths problem have foiled the heist?

Where are the Louvre jewels now and can France get them back?
Experts warn that whilst the criminals may yet be caught, the gemstones they stole may never be recovered.
