There are also videos on youtube of "blue noise" and "green noise," which are exactly what my student described. But this is a whole other nomenclature and surely vibes-based.

I went home and looked it up, and there is some scientific background to white vs. pink vs. brown noise. As a neurodivergent mess of a person, I can attest that brown noise is MAGICAL.

"Blue noise is the waves in the ocean or a flowing river," she said. "Green noise is the sound of trees in the wind. Or a rainforest." I didn't know if she was making stuff up or not, but I liked what she was saying.
