Asked me for a comm and even tho we agreed all the pricing details in advance, they had me draw them a sketch of the whole thing first and when it came time for payment,delayed the comm

After months of doing the same thing I see them asking around other artists for comm

That's why I'm thinking of going with a Google forms approach once I eventually do open it. I know some larger artists do it that way

I honestly don't mind communicating with clients directly but my experience here has been pretty shit so want to smoothen out the initial part for myself at least

Well whatever... wasn't really a huge loss or anything but still really pissed me off cuz in hindsight, it's really clear he just wanted a free sketch and wasted my time in the process.

Worst part is that it's an artwork of their shitty OC fucking one of mine 🫤

I've had people snag a slot and ask to delay the comm until their payday before (understandable)

But this dude locked in by having me make a sketch for them and AFTER I finish it on the same day, he gives these bizarre excuses. He KNEW he wouldn't be able to pay so why make me do the sketch?

I don't mind people asking about comms or about my prices

But it's annoying when they ask to continue with it, waste a bunch of your time with discussing the idea and all the details and then just dips 😑

Worst feeling is having to "take the hint" that they have no interest in continuing the comm

I just hope he's learnt his lesson.

He recently contacted me on Twitter asking me to take the post down and how I am "falsely accusing him for something he's not".

Even though I did none of that. Only made my experience public and my artist moots can judge for themselves what they think.
