#vsspoetry used to be a hashtag that posted word prompts for poetry inspiration. Seems to be quiet lately but you can search the hashtag and read previous writings. ;)

Those sound like scammers. I'm not really on the scene either just enjoy writing it when I feel like it. ;) I think if you want to write just write. And if it gets to become a real book then awesome ;)
