Just as it is hard to edit your own work, it’s hard to find the best bits of your book to market. But with so many people authoring author services and content pulls, it’s also hard to find the right fit for someone to help you with it.  This list is a roundup of people who offer content pulls and marketing bibles.

It’s why I wrote my guide to indie audiobook production. Today we’re going to talk about author websites. As usual, this is not an ad.

This post was inspired by this week’s Lady Whistlethreads, the push for AI narrated audiobooks, and accessibility.  It’s important to me to get my books into audio because I want them to be accessible for everyone. If you follow me on Threads, you know I rant about accessibility a lot. While my disability doesn’t affect my ability to read paperback or ebooks, I still want my books to available to everyone no matter what format they prefer to get their books in. 

Katya, your audiobook has been out less than two weeks and you’re writing a guide to producing an audiobook? Yes, because every single one I’ve ever read or every class I’ve ever taken was some sort of dude bro who writes technical books or explaining it from the narrator’s side of things. I’m going to explain it from the indie author’s point of view.

I don’t have the time nor the skillset to run an author resource Patreon, but there are some tricks I’ve figured out from my experience publishing and my years as a blogger. First on the list is Later!  This is a scheduling app that lets you plan your social media posts. But the neat thing is you can set it to “Send Notification”, so to the world and the algorithms, it’ll look like a manual post and you can fine tune things at the last minute like adding trending sound or setting your cover.
