While we snuggle indoors, many of the UK's wild #bees are similarly tucked up, waiting for spring to emerge. These are overwintering cocoons of the pretty Red Mason Bee, a fantastic #pollinator. Honey Bees are amazing, but let's not forget the rest of the UK's 270-odd wild species. #solitarybees

Correct! Take a bow. They belonged to my granddad. He came back from the Front but was gassed and traumatised. He was never quite. the same, my mum said. Such a gentle man; loved horses. They pulled the big guns his regiment fired. At least his hearing was fine. He’s in these pics.
