It's getting really played out at this point. They suck me in with the art direction or the overall concept and then they're like "Hope you're ready for pixel perfect dodge-rolling, you depressed bitch" and I'm immediately out.

As someone who is, in theory, a writer, the idea that I need to have a branching narrative that the end-user can directly influence or else what I'm doing is shit is so fucking exhausting. I have an idea for a story. It has a beginning, a middle, and an ending. I don't want to write one of these.
