Hi friends, turns out being a resident doctor keeps you busy (to no one’s surprise 🤪). I just need to share that I admitted a patient tonight for vomiting and diarrhea after she used bitter cascara as a laxative, which might be the most Outlander thing ever. 😂

I’m working 3pm-11pm on labor and delivery this week, so I should be home just in time to watch BoMB at midnight!!*
*Assuming no babies decide to make their entrance right before I’m supposed to leave…and assuming I can stay awake until 2am 😅

Today was surreal. 🥹 Literal blood, sweat, and (lots of) tears went into this degree. Thank you to everyone who’s cheered me on from afar these past few years. It has meant more to me than you know!! 🤍🩺

Thought I was about to have an airport meet cute when a handsome man asked to sit with me in the concourse of LGA. Turns out he’s just a friendly Canadian and there weren’t any open tables for him to sit. He’s happily married with 2 kids. 🥲😂

My very first clinical rotation in med school was hospice/palliative medicine. Tomorrow I begin my very last rotation, which happens to be NICU. There’s some kind of reverse-circle-of-life lesson in there somewhere. 🤍

I ended up matching into my top choice of the family medicine programs I ranked. 😊 Best of all, I get to come back home!!
There was a point in med school when I genuinely wasn’t sure if I was cut out for this, so feeling super grateful to know it was all worth it. 🥹
