Think of 4k as Retina for TVs that are too big. It "works" if you have a 65 inch TV at an 8 ft distance from your sofa. This gives you an angular pixel density of 60 pixels per degree, so the screen-door effect is gone. But it also gives you an image that is wider than your near peripheral vision.

A lot of the stuff I have seen in japanese stores now cost less than 1 Euro to me due to how weak the Yen has gotten.

That's a bit of a non-sequitur, don't you think?

Look, even if you don't like that distinction, it still is perfectly fine for an post written in english to reflect shared experiences within the anglosphere, or do you see an issue with that too?

Arguably, there was no NES in Japan, because they had the Famicom.

Making fun of Forrest Gump because he was different from everyone else, makes the messaging behind those lone penguin images kind of ironic.

You sure you are not confusing this with football or something? Though I agree that a relocation would spell disaster, especially for Los Angeles.
January 28, 2026 at 8:22 AM
There still are two years until the games start. Either you know what happens, or the possibility of a relocation may be on the table.

Well, consider that participants in the olympic games are not rich people at all. In fact some of them don't have a stable income or address. Also, skipping the olympic games even once means that you will be four years older the next time you get to participate so your performance will be different.

The problem with just abolishing ICE is that then you suddenly have a very large number of very unemployed former agents, who most likely have a very large arsenal of equipment and a very big desire to regain their former position of power.

Not prosecuting them would actually be fatal.

Given that Xenoblade is a Nintendo game, Nintendo is not the problem. The onus lies with the Pokémon Company to do better.
