Sadly, business does have to exist. And it is a shame that small businesses lost a lot of their livelihood, even if they did find it in an impermenant, unorthodox manner. There was good there. I can see why the bitterness stands. You're not bad to talk with yourself. I came off harsher than intended

You can have a different opinion but you seem to refuse to admit that it's anything other than what you've made it out to be. From the rhetoric you're using it seems like you refuse to admit that the other facets of it exist

You're so caught up on what you think the app was and refuse to see it any other way. You don't care to try to see the loss of livelihood or community, and that's just willful ignorance. Stop playing dumb.

I don't disagree, but a loss is a loss and can be mourned, and it doesn't take away from awareness of other situations.

It's worked out for everyone not on tiktok but sure. You can call it a risk. What are you even trying to fight for at this point? Why are you arguing just to argue?

The US has At Will Employment. The contracts are largely for show. Your defense is waifer thin. Again, you're trying to make these people responsible for the actions of our government. Something I'm sure you wouldn't appreciate turned on you.

You just described a ton of typical desk jobs in the US. How is this different? We've never seen a social media loss like this. How could anyone have anticipated it? This feels like blaming the victim.

It is an end to a community, and a very specific one. Another app will come like they always do, but we did lose something. Along with a lot of Americans losing business.

I didn't say it turned tides but it was a tool many of us used to stay informed. I'm sore about the world we're in too. If I need to complain about losing something that made this hellscape slightly easier to endure, give me grace. I care about Ukraine, I care about Gaza, but I care about this too.

I understand that you want to be mad at the masses for lack of action and I see that, but attacking people while they're down is not the way to rally people to a cause.

Feels like you don't realize the amount of political awareness TT brought to the community. We care about what's happening in the Ukraine, Gaza, Africa, but we are also allowed to care about the loss of the community that TT was.

People can be upset about both things. Both things can be a big deal. This isn't the pain Olympics why are you so mad about people being upset?
