This is the only time that era comes up. So there's about 30-40 years of kids who don't have personal connection to the fight (grandparents who fought and can explain what it was about). It gets painted as just a territorial war, and nothing is said about the moral/ideological reasons

This meant that WWII was taught at the end of the school year, and would get squeezed by the calendar as other units ran over. Not much time would be spent on that subject and teachers would quickly move through the subject in order to get to all the required parts of the curriculum.

So here's part of my theory. Until recently, history classes were divided into fairly consistent time periods, you had early civ/greek/roman ending around the dark ages
then the next would be medieval times
columbus to civil war
then civil war to modern times.

For many others I'd worry about the mental aspect but I think Orion might have the right mindset and outlook to get past this and still contribute for the team. I don't think however he's a future closer, just a good backend BP arm so that may change whether he stays or not.

assuming the NBA doesn't move quickly on it and this season plays out as normal... that voids a single year. harden has a player option. the only guys on the books are zubac, DJJ & Dunn. great for the sixers but there existed a world in which they blew it up after this year anyway

2027 - pick swap to the thunder
2028 - sixers (unprotected)

so they could lose 2027 but the commish may have to come up with other avenues
