Whereas currently if you speed (even if you're having an emergency) the cops might do a pit maneuver on you.

What if there was an override button that turns on your emergency blinkers and alerts the police if you continue to speed for more than a minute? That way you can utilize it during emergencies and it won't be abused. The cops won't ticket you for having a valid emergency.
