An absolute delight to get to see Willi Carlisle (accompanied by Sophie Mae Wellington) perform in London last night. I love folk music, love the twang of a banjo, the smooth hum of the fiddle while Sophie danced, a very full body experience

Six months of work and the film festival is over! It was such a fantastic experience, I feel so grateful to have had the opportunity to programme films and events at the Barbican 💚 I even had a green mic to match my outfit for my introduction!

Once I decided that my resolutions should only be fun things, it became much easier to keep them. Last year, my resolution was to attend more queer focused events, which I did, and to put myself out there emotionally, which led to me asking the person who is now my partner out for coffee

My new upstairs neighbours have been keeping me awake with their antics, so I have employed white noise playlists to drown them out. This method is only partially successful and well, sometimes all you can do is write a poem so that you don't start hoovering the ceiling in retaliation
Ocean Wave Thunderstorm Playlist 10 Hours How I wish the roiling was a lullaby, heartbeat rocking to drag, the flighty sweat of panic, the bargaining of exhaustion, taken to the drop off, but never pushed, side sleeper forced to flounder, ears stopped with wax, but it all pours in, the man in the corner, babbling bubbled consonants, while the world keelhauls, till four in the morning, follow the footsteps from port to stern, sliver of lightning, there are ways to encourage tipping, but all elude, I toss, the playlist crashes, the night continues disturbed.
