Slashing spending at the federal level is about who pays & how it’s labelled. Nothing in this bill is about reducing total cost or ⬆️ value from $ spent. Spending fights like this decrease trust in govt and healthcare.

Mother’s Day is not a real holiday.

It celebrates and glorifies a norm that few live. A norm that has been weaponized against women and ignores men’s role in nurturing the next generation.

This rigid, gendered view of parenting is a disservice to society and hurtful to all who don’t conform.
