Just watched one of the best Shakespeare performances ever. Oh, and saw Jonathan Bailey 😍😍😍😍

Might be behind on the game here, but this podcast is a fantastic performance of AIC. Will definitely be using alongside our upcoming read of the play for a quality experience.

My new groups for EmpowerHER have been so great already this week. We all swapped answers using the quiz-trade sheet and discussed Florence Given as an inspirational voice. 💕

I’m excited to be returning to it this year! I thoroughly recommend this book to dive in to the wonderful novella that it is! @spryke2.bsky.social @teachals.bsky.social

A fascinating read and deeply disturbing. Couldn’t put it down.

Birthday voucher purchase #1. The premise of this sounds fascinating.

7. House of Flame and Shadow by Sarah J. Maas ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This was a beast. I really enjoyed the weaving of ACOTAR characters and some individual characters I really rooted for. Perhaps this is a *little* too long? But I worship SJM so I’m happy with anything 😂

6. You Are Here by David Nicholls ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I’ll always cheerlead for the wonderful Nicholls. This novel is so lovely with some really nice character development. You’ll love this if you’re a fan of long walks and character growth.

5. The Women by Kristin Hannah ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Unreal. A heart-wrenching story about the nurses of the Vietnam war. It’s that brilliantly devastating, my colleague was fuming with me for recommending it! (She loved it). Treat yourself and get to know Frankie in this book.

4. Strange Sally Diamond ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

By far one of the best I have read in a very long time. Two narratives eloquently interwoven to reveal a very dark history for Sally Diamond. A must-read!

3. Blue Sisters by Coco Mellors ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Brilliantly written with such delicately constructed characters. I’m a sucker for stories about sisters. This is definitely one I’d recommend to everyone.

2. Home Front by Kristin Hannah ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

4 stars only because her other stories are far better - although, this one was such a lovely read whilst on holiday. A fantastic insight into the female pilots of the Iraq war.

Thread of brilliant reading I’ve completed so far this year! 🧵

1. Poor by Katriona O’Sullivan ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A fantastic memoir of survival, determination and grit.
