Glad I haven’t bought one yet. Time to start researching other options. Seems impossible today for computers and devices in my home to just work on their own, to use as I want, without them all needing to phone home or tied to some subscription. Updates are supposed to fix bugs or add features.

Not familiar with the details but what I’m hearing is they’re locking you in to their cloud services. Is there more to it? Kind of sucks b/c I’ve been thinking about getting into 3d printing and based on YouTube demos I’ve been leaning towards Bambu.

A couple years ago I would’ve leapt at this just to say I worked there, but watching their legal recent legal battles I certainly have some concerns re: job security.

Day job I mostly work with Oracle Linux, in the homelab I play with a bit of everything, usually more a question of what I'm trying to deploy and what distros are best supported. Usually more interesting is writing automation which will work regardless of which distro.

I'll start by saying 1st post and already seeing engagement that's a good sign. Nerdy things: Ham Radio, IT things from hobby to professional, Homebrewing 🍺. The list can go on.
