From Air Force brat to Flint girl to Florida woman, I've learned a lot along the way. As a visually impaired person, I see things my own way.

Aspiring screenwriter.
The discoloration's shape tapers toward his fingers and fades in that direction as well. Looks like the injury is at or above his wrist and gravity carried blood toward his hand.

Word of the month: I had to look up poltroon - but now that I know what it means, I believe it should be used a lot more often.

Your interpretation just might be the correct one. Too bad Mr. Oswalt can't weigh in!

As to your other point, Charles Babbage had to demonstrate competency in the Classics in order to be admitted to Cambridge to study mathematics. It didn't hold him back from pioneering digital computing.

The feed her interpretation is much snappier and funnier than the fed herself interpretation. I actually lol'd when it finally dawned on me.

Okay, I admit it - I'm dense. When I saw the post yesterday, I took Mr. Oswalt's comment to mean that Ms. Kelly had fed HERSELF into a metaphorical [redacted] by saying such an awful, utterly unacceptable thing.

I felt a painful sense of loss because lately I've had my hopes up. But then I remembered that I had given up on them long ago. We're back to "it's all up to us" and that's okay.

Hey Donald Antoinette, take your cake and shove it.

Why not just do phrenology? Just as biased and nutty, but much cheaper.

It is said that we rage against things to the degree that we fail to take responsibility for them. Here, a man outruns a dog on his motorbike and then angrily turns back brandishing a knife. Another man calmly relates the incident and then ensures the safety of both the dog and the assaulter.

from Taz, the Tasmanian Devil, to sweet little Swee'pea in 3 weeks - what a journey! Godspeed, Al Pacino.

We all thought he was beautiful, right from the start. But, oh my goodness what a surprising transformation! Sonny will make everyone happy wherever he goes.

Right, there's a big difference between what Trump said he was going to do and what those of us who are capable of observing the obvious knew he was going to do. Not sure why this is so tough to sort out for some people.

...ages a man - and, apparently, causes chronic constipation. I mean, just look at him and JD Vance and Pete Hegseth. You almost feel sorry for them.

5 million Americans protested across the nation on June 14 - the day of the Trump birthday parade. Let's make it 10 million for his next parade.

When we solve the problems of dogs, we are solving problems made by humans. This movement is catching on and who knows where it could end!

After the horrors he'd just experienced at the hands of humans, Bhola approached Niall with sweetness and kindness just before he collapsed. Come what may, we have to keep love and mercy in our hearts. Bhola showed us the way. I'll always remember and cherish him for that.

Times are tough and getting tougher. We will all have to be like the brave woman who stopped the violence and like Niall and his friends who stepped in to help. Bless the dogs for showing the way.

So sorry you have this very sad situation on your hands. Would the chicken owners accept a gift of fencing to keep their birds safe and an invitation to let Happy Doggo know - before resorting to drastic measures - if there are any future dog/chicken problems?

Yes, thanks, this seems like the best way to look at it. Focus on the work/objectives and let luck take care of itself.

Makes me wonder - what if, despite all the hard work, the strike succeeded by sheer luck. Doing research for a screenplay I'm writing, I thought how different American life - and my own life - would have been if the governor had given the order for the National Guard to shoot the strikers.

Your article brought to mind my hometown's (Flint's) history of unionists murdered by the billionaire-directed Black Legion in the years before the sit-down strike.
TIL that Amazon flooded picketers with frigid water. Working people, please wake up before freezing water turns to bullets - again.

I don't get the meme, and I know you'll think I'm crazy, but cyber trucks look like AMC Gremlins or Pacers to me. Bodies constructed from ugly flat panels cobbled together at haphazard angles make sense for low-end models, but what's up with these obscenely expensive Teslas?

Her book "Hit 'Em Where it Hurts" covers this topic quite nicely (or not so nicely).
