Parts of Art and Fear by David Bayles & Ted Oreland has been wildely helpful when I'm stuck like that. Even before my therapy and meds.
The anecdotes can feel a little forced, but with a healthy grain of salt it might help. It's 90 pages, or a 3.5 hour audio book.

I don't even know the lore well, but just being in a world where monarchs are equivelant to nightmare monsters seems pretty on the grafted noses.

Ya man, strap in. It took me over a year worth of visits to get my perscription. But once I did it was night and day.
As a former addict I think they might have just been extra careful though.

Good on you man. You'll be given a lot more tools than are useful to you specifically, but the ones that are useful Really are. And even the tools that don't work point you toward others that might.

It's refreshing to hear we had a similar read of this movie. It's messaging seemed so on the nose, and nobody around me seemed to see it. Which made me feel Insane.
