Spent this morning at the Michigan Hall of Justice (my first time there!) covering a novel case in the Court of Appeals on the habeas corpus rights of seven chimpanzees currently at a zoo on the Upper Peninsula. They're seeking an order to show cause, which would let the case be heard fully.
