The issue is that people buy d&d and then are being sold 50 pointless splat books to remove HP with marginally different imagined special effects. That does indeed get expensive.
$100 is enough to buy 5 great indie games where you need no extras.

It's quite amazing, but having to do seven runs over two hours to unlock three things is a bit painful.
Can we not just have more than 3 draws per door? That would massively alleviate the randomness pain. Or even make that an unlock, +1 draw for every update disk found, or something.
