No problem, man! We’ve had a ton of different pets over the years and I never pass an opp to spread the good word of the dragons :) bearded dragon Reddit is a wild but good resource for new owners as well.

@johnbull.wtf we like to think of them as the most ‘doglike’ lizard available, but they’re so completely unbothered by other pets and people, we’ve never worried about behavioral issues you might see with other pets. Just awesome family pets overall.

Yep, counterintuitive but they learn to love their salads. Our dragon now was a rescue and we had another bonded pair we rescued back in college, so we’ve never had super young dragons before. Honestly, it might be worth perusing local pet stores to see if they have rescue dragons that need a home.

Exactly that. Unless they’re getting a ton of exercise, adults can get real chunky with too many bugs.

My wife has one that splits time in her classroom (kids handle and dragon gets to roam classroom) and at home. Awesome pets with surprisingly big personalities. Lighting/heat and diet are important but otherwise low maintenance.
