“This guideline represents a fundamental shift in how we approach IgAN,” said Dr. Floege. “For the first time, we can target both immune injury and kidney responses, creating a roadmap to slow progression and extend survival in ways not possible just a few years ago.”

Co-chaired by Jürgen Floege and Brad Rovin, the guideline is an update to the IgAN chapter in the 2021 KDIGO Glomerular Diseases Guideline.

It integrates evidence through August 2024. KDIGO will continue to update the guideline regularly so clinicians and patients have access to the latest science.
