How do we factor in the decline in participation over the dangers of football? A quick search estimates there are only a million HS kids playing now. That’s only down ~100k from 20 years ago.

Fair, but those are American sports. I think basketball could have a strong argument as the 3rd largest sport. Soccer by far has the most players in the world, on every continent too. Football by physicality and organization? Sure. How about the individual sports? Mental and no support network.

After reading this I have confirmed that I’m living in the upside down. References to polling on Musk. Apparent hand gestures that might look like Nazis. It’s just horse shit all around. Who does the NYT think they are appealing to with this misrepresentation of what we see with our own eyes? Gross.
