I've just read a Stuff article saying that the Xmas ham is good for 3 days in the fridge. I recall as a boy visiting family on a farm where the Xmas ham was kept in the pantry under a cloth - how times and hams have changed.

The joy of being in the modern public service - 196 days to go before my terminal date. So much to do, and not enough pay days to do it in.
Though I should look at the silver lining - at least I have some warning - for many of my colleagues and other workers this would have come out of the blue.

Though Spike was an intelligent and exemplary cat in many respects. He was sadly a bit of a drug fiend. Most of our cats will enjoy a bit of cat nip, like you might a joint being passed around at a party. Not Spike, he would seek out the source and obliterate it.
