Have to say, was very impressed with St Thomas' emergency service. Was there and back in under 3 hours. Full marks #NHS

Last time I was in a job centre you just picked up a card from jobs board, went to a member of staff and applied for the job.
These days there seem a lot more staff. Alas they only now help people of working age, not pensioners. Was told to try the internet. Oddly enough, I had heard of that. 🙄

Asked in Kennington Park Post Office what was happening. They didn't know. Post boxes are Royal Mail responsibility.

I like the way that heavy pruning has left what looks like a sleeve of old bark surrounding a younger tree.

Reckon I could think of a few apt names for other streets in London. Litter Lane would be the most common.

This is the Oval Triangle opposite the Oval station #Lambeth It's supposed to be cleaned once per week. Somehow I don't think so.

First time I've seen one of these. It's a hummingbird hawk moth. Very distinctive form of flight.

Went on a butterfly walk today - my first ever. You see a lot more butterflies in a group especially if there are a few experts present. This walk was in a nature reserve over Saltash/Cornwall way.

This is a rock samphire (sea fennel) with some golden shield lichen - and my shoe for scale.
P.S. Now don't go thinking I know all this off the top of my head but I do know how to look things up.
