I made it here in time! As a 30 yr EE of SSA, now retired, I am appalled with what is going on in SSA. They cannot function with further reductions in staff.

There ARE premiums for Medicare. There are NO premiums for Medicaid.

I'm old enough to remember the days before polio vaccines. You have no idea of the fear polio caused. In summer you lived in great fear, a sore throat could be polio, maybe death, life in a iron lung! Everyone left town, we never went to the city pools. A vaccine against polio was a Godsend.
