I frequently taught Dual Credit classes as well. I'd rather slit my own wrists than misgender another child. There's a whole other level of requirements for teaching minors now, and much of it requires deliberate misgendering, not to mention even further restrictions.

As things are now, as a transgender man, if I taught today, what bathroom could I use? I have a husband; can I mention my spouse without being accused of DEI and indoctrination? Can I correct a student that misgenders me without getting in trouble? 2/

Again, this is one of the reasons I left teaching college after transitioning, ca 2022, and it's becoming increasingly clear I'll never be able to teach again in Texas and policies are only getting worse. 1/

I left the field because I couldn't figured out a way to fully insulate myself as a trans person.

Also, the student wants her fired because she's transgendered. Any assignment she would've created would have resulted in this.
