Close! Most of my inspiration for it was from Pizza Tower! Peppino's mad dash inspired me to create a similar feeling. There's still a bit of a mix with Sonic though.

Both! They're permanent equips that you can switch between. Some change how you deal damage, others can change the SFX of your attacks and more that'll do a number of interesting things. But you can only equip 3 at a time.
