in a room full of people I can play piano among the best. in a room of piano players I'd be lucky to be top 50%. among the pros I would simply make a quiet exit

also reminds me of "just because you're good/smart at one thing doesn't mean you possess that skill/knowledge of all things" but even moreso like. just because you think you're good or are good at one component doesn't even mean you're necessarily good at any of it
