You can see this feller eyeing a female flying overhead in the final pic, after which he flew off to see if she was impressed.

Hummingbird gorgets (the shiny part) only reflect color at certain angles. They can flex these gorget feathers to change colors and get the attention of not only photographers but female hummingbirds!
