This morning, Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson signed an executive order establishing “ICE-free zones.”
“That means that city property and unwilling private businesses will no longer serve as grounds for these raids,” Johnson said to applause.

Obviously not the main point here, but it's interesting how this is framed as content rather than policy.

"BREAKING" is typically what journalists or influencers say when they have a big story -- not what government officials say when they launch "undercover" operations

I want to correct error I made .I wrote that Congress has to vote after a shutdown to restore pay of furloughed workers. That was true in my time in office which ended in 2017. But a law was passed in 2019 to ensure federal workers all get paid after shutdown.
