it CAN always look cooler, it CAN always be more polished, it CAN always have more effort and detail poured into it. i'm GREAT at identifying those things! not so good at identifying whether it SHOULD be cooler or more polished or take another 5 hrs, or how much it NEEDS those to get the idea across

i guess i'm just very susceptible to setting arbitrary standards for how my art's "supposed" to look in certain contexts (patreon sequences, comms, even sketchbook stuff sometimes) or how much detail/polish it should have, when nobody else minds unless they directly comm'd me for a specific style

i think i may have been a bit too ambitious on the current patreon comic and i should prob be less casual/jokey about it causing me hand pain and actually do something about it (such as only doing flat colours perhaps, or at least very minimal shading?) to decrease my chances of having more of that
