I found a bug in Shopify’s DISCOUNTS_UPDATE webhooks. Whatever you update on the discount page multiple times, only the first update will be sent to the EP and the subsequent updates will be ignored. I’ve reported this to Shopify and they confirmed the bug and said they’ll work on the fix asap.

It doesn't seem to be possible to install a Shopify draft public app on a prod store anymore. The workaround I found is to install the draft app on a dev store, manually create a custom app on the prod store to generate an API key, and replace your dev store API key with the custom app one.

I want the Shopify webhook subscription option to have payload data in the GraphQL schema. The current payload follows the legacy REST schema which they’re deprecating. My apps usually end up requesting GraphQL data based on subscribing events, which feels defeating the purpose.

We're forced to migrate from the Shopify partner dashboard to the new dev dashboard, but the dev one doesn't have analytics data. Does this mean I need to look at both to operate my app going forward? Or will all the app-related features on the partner one be migrated to the dev one eventually?🤔

Working on my 2nd Shopify app (experiment) these days. I found neither the Remix scaffold nor the Rails + React app template very comfortable since I prefer to have all backend login in Rails and keep FE and BE separate. So I ended up choosing the same setup as my 1st Shopify app: Next.js + Rails.
