I just wanted to be clear that there was a difference between unable vs unwilling to not hurt those around you. Like a dementia patient is not the same as an abuser.

Slightly disagree! There's no shame in being ill to the point where you can't get proper help yourself. But if people are trying to help and you don't participate in your own healing to the point of causing trauma, that IS your responsibility. Just semantics, really. I understand your point.
