I stay low-key, the Internet is a scary place.
He's fragile. This is exactly why his administration and party keep him so insulated from non-supporters.

Remember when Joe Biden mixed up some names and the news acted like he was completely clueless to international affairs?

I'd like just a little of the same reaction and response when this openly admits he's willfully ignorant.

I can almost guarantee this individual is lying about willingness to do it for free.

The man has never in his life cared about actually leading, he just wanted the glory and power without the responsibility. Trump always believed in using others skills to compensate for his lack of any. The problem is he is now surrounded by talentless hacks so his incompetence is clearer than ever.

So in a year we've moved from concepts of a plan to a framework. Which btw, is still conceptual.

That's it?
January 13, 2026 at 11:48 PM
Odd. Considering his on camera interviews tend to match the content and language of his posts, I lean toward the possibility he wasn't being completely truthful.

I personally am thankful every time you point out the law, because the news often reports things from a sensationalist framework rather than informative. And it makes it hard to determine whether Trump is doing something unlawful or just abusing a loophole.

I think this pretty much eliminates any reason for Dems to agree to funding the government.
January 13, 2026 at 9:34 PM
Yeah it should never be glossed over that we voted for man recently convicted of business fraud and under (at the time) current criminal prosecution for attempting to overthrow the government with a violent coup.
January 13, 2026 at 9:08 PM
Trump also weaponizied a presidential run to introduce more complexity and cast doubt to further delay prosecution. It seems many critics are either unaware or have forgotten his many many delay tactics.

I'm support elimination or consolidation to the prior structure, which in essence, fulfills mostly the goal of abolishment anyway. I just don't see evidence of a strong enough appetite in Congress to eliminate the organization outright, so making it conditional for support seems foolish.
January 13, 2026 at 8:25 PM
I don't think you're wrong but it does make me wonder why moderation is necessary for only one political party. The Republican party's main strategy for years has been fully abrasive verbiage and slogans. Is it really just a factor of media infrastructure insulating and protecting them?
January 13, 2026 at 8:06 PM
If any Dem base voters condition their support on abolishing ICE they are going to end up sorely disappointed no matter who wins. Even with AOC or Bernie as president, there isn't a reality where ICE is abolished without usurping congress and abusing power to the same extent as Trump.

I don't understand how Steam and Epic can have a return policy on downloaded games, but it's somehow infeasible for the console publishers.
January 13, 2026 at 7:39 PM
Pretty good game but it was partially developed with generative AI and it shows. Not overwhelmingly obvious but it is somewhat noticeable.
January 13, 2026 at 7:34 PM
In complete agreement. Dem hopefuls gotta aggressively threaten prosecution like the GOP did Hunter Biden.
January 13, 2026 at 6:15 PM
Second time I've seen this and I think this wording is a little confusing, because I read this mistakenly as the boat containing the plane. If I'm correct about the intention I think something like "US attacked boat using an aircraft disguised as a civilian plane" is clearer.

It's traditional politician double speak, but generally this is an okay answer. Still I just don't think Jefferies is a good public speaker.
January 12, 2026 at 9:26 PM
I think shrinks time are better spent studying and addressing the shared psychosis of the American public who voted in a guy who literally said he'd be a dictator, after already attempting previously to overturn an election.

You forgot the felon was birthed by an immigrant.
January 12, 2026 at 3:40 PM
Good. I think Venezuela was finally a wake up call that Trump's threats can result in real actions and are not just silly fantasy like many foreign leaders hoped they were.

Canada loves them some Celine but I wonder if the French in general do? 🤔
January 10, 2026 at 6:17 PM
That gives me flashbacks to 2022 when we were told there was 99% chance for a recession that never actually happened.
January 10, 2026 at 6:07 PM
With the exception of termination those fall under restraints. That's the most likely outcome. The bigger problem will be public trust, it will take dedicated PR and years to rebuild and I don't either the base or leadership has the patience for that effort. That's why I think they'll shift.
January 10, 2026 at 6:04 PM
CBP would presumably still exists so abolishment of ICE wouldn't necessarily negatively impact border protection. But based on past performance, I don't trust a Democratic presidency or Congress to be able to message it well enough to break through the noise and highlight the distinction.
