Slapped the flag on my mailbox up and caught my pinky on the bottom edge, gashing it up the side. Tried to flip my trike and cut open my chin. Put a modern roof on my thumb cutting kale. Stepped on a water bottle running across the infield of a track meet and badly sprained my ankle.

And I couldn’t tell you a damn thing about the SFA album. It seemed of its time, but I will still listen to the other two and the Imperial Teen one is one of my favorite albums of all time.

Coming back to this one because this was one of three (3) albums I got because Spin Magazine told me to and the other two were awesome (Imperial Teen’s “seasick,” which is just about perfect, and Gorky’s Zygotic Mynci’s “Introducing…” which is essentially an EP/single anthology for the US).

From other countries it would count as a drain. And if we’re bringing in people more likely to seek education they are conceivably people more likely to foment revolution if forced to stay (or if they don’t have an easy pass to prosperity). Never underestimate the power of selfishness on that score.
