Used to be the most awesome fish'n'chip shop in the high street. Literally decades since I've been there (Tewkesbury), almost certainly totally different.

I used to work at Strensham services (back in the 1980s) and will never forget the family who came in and wanted to know how to get to 'Tew-kes-bury'. Where we lived (Upton) it was pronounced 'Chucks-bree', though to be honest I'm not actually sure if that was right and not just the local accent.

I was going to go with Worcester, too. But Tewkesbury was just as close to where we lived.

Yes, definitely. I have a roll of Lomochrome Purple with light leaks that should be awesome.

I bought a DigitaLiza 35mm scanner mask from Lomography specifically so I could scan sprockets, so I'd darned well better get that Rocket on the launch pad.

That would be great! I'm always promising myself to take out the Rocket, but it never happens.

Whenever I see a current film or TV series, and the characters are making (or have) a digital recording yet still say, 'we have it on tape'.

Came across this reposted image, which led to a scroll down your feed. Your work is amazing! Instant follow. Thank you.

Thank you. They all came out really well. I'm in the middle of trying to sort them out at the moment.

Double exposure? Portrait under a red light then a separate exposure of whatever the circular thing is supposed to be (the front lens of a security camera, perhaps) then combine the two in a photo editor.

Just finished scanning them. Here's a 'sneak peek' straight from the screen. Think, 'bluescale'.
The water towers in the centre of Oliveira do Bairro. Taken with redscaled Lomochrome Turquoise (the exposure was made through the backing layer). This building is a band (Credit Agricola) in the centre of Oliveira do Bairro. Taken with redscaled Lomochrome Turquoise (the exposure was made through the backing layer).

I do wonder, though if that dates the age of my little Bencini to around the early/mid 70s at the latest. That would be cool.

Oh. I exposed the rest of the Agfa Rapid film that was in the Bencini Comet Rapid. Turns out it was Agfa CN S film, made between 1965—72 and is a C22 process film. I can't get it developed in C41 chemistry, because at 38°C the emulsion will fall off.

Picked up the films from the lab. Do we have images?
Harman Red ✅️
Turquoise (Bencini) ✅️
Turquoise (Redscaled) ✅️
Turquoise (Horizon 202) ✅️

Well, looks like I've got some scanning to do today. But, which one first?

Last time someone asked this question, I said the Gameboy. It's still the Gameboy, but now I have a new current favourite, the Bolta Photavit IV. I don't possess it yet, and it doesn't work, apparently, but when I get it, it might work again (or it might not). It uses Photavit cassettes, too.
Website screenshot of a Bolta Photavit IV, a 35mm camera from the 1940s. This one has stuff wrong with it: 'The shutter is stuck, and the aperture blades are rusty.' But I believe in it, and I hope that with a bit of love it'll work again. It uses Photavit cartridges which are not unlike the Agfa Rapid canisters but have a spool inside the like a 35mm film.

For me, light leaks are always a bonus. And this one's kind of adhering to the rule of thirds. 😉

I've seen several posts about what cameras to take on holiday. Here's my selection for our trip to the Maldives:
Olympus Pen E-PM2 plus a 6-stop ND filter;
DJI Action 4;
Welta Penti II and a canister of Harman Phoenix;
Ziess Ikon Nettar 517/16 and a roll of Lomochrome Turquiose.

Amazing how it's still there, some forty years after the film was made! (😉)

Pretty much Harman Phoenix this year, for the Frugal Film Project. Harman Red (or redscaled Phoenix - same thing), Lomochrome Turquoise. Some expired films, FujiColor and whatnot. For monochrome, Ilford XP2 ('cos it's C41 dev and my local lab only does C41)
