For those around the Great Lakes, you may fine this time lapse mapping of maximum ice coverage since 1973 to the present to be very informative. www.glerl.noaa.gov/data/ice/max...
2025 map of maximum ice coverage on the Great Lakes, roughly 60% frozen. 2017 map of maximum ice coverage on the Great Lakes when only about 10% was covered. Too much of this means toxic algae sickening people around the lakes.

6 years after Nutlick claimed to have severed relations with Epstein, he wrote this email detailing, by age, the young kids he helped deliver to the island.
"We are landing in St. Thomas early Sat afternoon & planning to head over to St. Bart's on Mon... I have another couple (Michael & Marcy Lehrman) with me on my boat & each of us has 4 children: two 16s, two 14s, a 13, a 12, an 11, & a 7 yr. old. Thanks, Howard.

My testimony today is based on, draws upon, and in places quotes from that extensive previous reporting and writing over the years and is informed by literally hundreds of conversations with agents and executives at all levels of federal law enforcement, including dozens or scores of interviews with agents and officers of ICE and CBP. I’ve interviewed CBP commissioners and ICE directors in their executive suites; I’ve been on patrol with Border Patrol, ridden on their boats and flown in their helicopters, shared meals with the union officials and been in the studio while they recorded their popular podcast, and observed as Border Patrol apprehended migrants crossing the Texas-Mexico border.

"Everyone knows that pedophilia and incest was literally enshrined foundationally into America through slavery, right? Like this is not a new thing. Like I get that we compartmentalize, but we built an entire society around white owners raping Black people, impregnating them, and then raping their own kids and grandkids, half siblings and cousins. A HUGE PART OF ENTIRE SOCIETY WAS BUILT AROUND CHILD RAPE AND INCEST - and normalized and centralized. And it wasn't like everyone didn't know. There was literally a pamphlet advising young white men in brothels to try and avoid having sex with their half siblings by looking at their appearance and asking certain questions. EVERYONE KNEW. Just to be 100% clear, Thomas Jefferson raped his wife's half sister, Sally Hemings, starting when she was 14 when she accompanied him to Paris with his teenaged daughter. This was publically known and discussed before he became President. A political journalist figured it out by the appearance of Hemings children and Jefferson's own actions. Hemings was 3/4 white, which means her mother and grandmother had also been raped by white owners. She bore 6 children to him, and it is possible she was also raped by Jefferson's brother or some of his nephews. (You see how that's worse, right?) Jefferson was NOT the only one, I'm just using him as an example. So, just in case you are wondering how America goes on, knowing that its leaders have committed horrific, indescribable sex crimes against innocent kids...just ask how we did it all the other times. What would be new would be any accountability. I'll believe it when I see it.

As noted, integrity is shunned. There is an incentive against it. Until that incentive structure changes, sadism rules. But there is a difference between a top-down political culture and what we create ourselves. Americans are helping each other regardless of official directives, and that shifts the culture on its own. I’m encouraged by protest efforts in Minneapolis and elsewhere and mutual aid efforts. I’m also encouraged by the growing denouncement of digital dependence. The long phase of denial that has marked the last ten years is giving way to something new. As for restoring integrity, the only way to do it is to live your values and model that for others. Integrity is the one thing that once you lose, you can’t get back. Integrity is a form of power that no oppressor can touch.

This is the same strategy for Greenland. It is currently being approached as a “deal” in which inhabited territory, largely populated by indigenous people, is treated as real estate. This plan is more elaborate than “purchasing Greenland”: it involves mineral licenses and Arctic trade routes and other oligarchs. Military invasion is not Trump’s first line of offense — but threatening it has other advantages, like making Europe hate the US and want to kick it out of NATO. That’s a longtime Trump/Putin goal.

The last time we had a true debate about how the U.S. government should be organized to protect Americans and to protect what it means to be American was almost a quarter century ago. After the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, politicians sparred over how to balance security and liberty, as if they sat on opposite sides of a scale. Our obsession with security — aided by politicians determined not to appear “weak” and Supreme Court decisions that empowered the presidency — has obliterated that balance. As it has in other countries, the pursuit of security paved the way for the consolidation of power. Now, Minnesota has neither security nor liberty.
