You’d have adored my Mum‘s steak and kidney pudding. I really miss it. She didn’t have a written recipe, so I tried to make it once from a recipe book. Didn’t come even close to hers, never had the heart to try again.

Love Elaine’s Pies! I buy 4 or more frozen and uncooked, so I don’t have to travel to Dickson too often. I get a couple of steak & kidney but other flavours too for variety.

Yes, it is thanks.

I’d agree with him, but I’ll say that all the serious ground work was done and in place, including the lobbyists, long before 2022. Would Albo have done it from scratch? I have a feeling he wouldn’t. But that’s a moot point.

Howard… again. The damage that man did! 🤬

It’s unbelievable that these creatures are among us, in this day and age - not broken men living on the fringes, but men in suits and ties, presumably also with wives & daughters.
Scarier still, it illustrates that we will also have some here in Australia. They must never ever get a toehold.

Can’t? Or won’t?
They have a super majority. In theory they can do anything.

David Pocock asks Don Farrell some serious questions about why the govt has not implemented an important recommendation from the #RobodebtRC.
Farrell caught playing on his phone, not even paying attention.🙄 Pocock hasn’t the patience to try again & moves on. #Estimates

Why did Albanese keep her on? She an LNP appointee still loyal to them. What havoc is she wreaking behind the scenes?
Dept Secretaries used to be well qualified career public servants, who were apolitical. Why did it change to being political? We need to return to the old system. #auspol

THIS is what you're defending, justifying and complicit in,
@albomp.bsky.social @senatorwong.bsky.social.

THIS.

How dare you lecture us about Hamas displaying a lack of humanity, in the face of Israel's blatant and constant barbarity and inhumanity. #auspol #GazaGenocide #GazaHolocaust

Independent Senator David Pocock and Labor's Penny Wong clashed in Senate estimates yesterday over whether the Parliamentary Sports Club could be considered a lobby group, as reported in Crikey last week. The club is registered as such, and lists Responsible Wagering Australia as one of its clients.

If Labor wishes to reclaim its moral authority, it must break with the consultant paradigm: rebuild public governance, fund socially vital disciplines and restore universities as places of learning, not revenue streams. #auspol #universitiesAU
How the ALP outsourced the soul of higher education
For most of its history, the Australian Labor Party spoke of education as a public good, the light on the hill, a vision of collective progress through strong institutions, universal access, and the elevation of ordinary citizens.

... turning into a “clown show”

Turning? I think the public sees the tense slightly differently.
It's already "turned" into a clown show, and she has helped fuel the spectacle. #LNP

Not what was reported by AAP:
But the emails were sent to a redundant address, meaning the department didn’t learn about the outage until it was called by regulator the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) at 3.30pm on Friday, more than 36 hours after the outage began.
kelanoa.bsky.social
Their IT dep't has a question to answer:
Why don't redundant email addresses (especially ones that were used for important stuff!) have a bounce placed on them? Then the sender will at least know it wasn't delivered. Instead it appears to have dropped into a black hole.
That is basic admin.

The Black Summer bushfires cost Australians over $50 billion.

As we enter another high-risk bushfire season, we shouldn't wait for the next disaster to act.

The Government could put a climate disaster levy on gas & coal exports to help pay for the damage.

Add your name: theaus.in/fossilfuelco...
Make fossil fuel exporters pay for the damage they are causing, not ordinary Australians
Climate change is making natural disasters like fires, floods, heatwaves and drought worse, costing Australians billions every year. Make fossil fuel producers pay a climate disaster levy to help pay...

Labor are not left wing any more. They have some leftish policies, but on big stuff, they are bipartisan with LNP. Who would ever have thought they'd continue with AUKUS. It was a time bomb set by Morrison. Then not raising the rate and keeping the punitive mutual obligations. Etc etc

Step-by-step, the mealy-mouthed whining (that may hide threats) to the cringing kowtowing still to Zionist appeasement, the British gov's shameful capitulation to foreign interference is THE SAME as in Australia.

Equal in their obsequious depravity, these are gov.s of *Labour* - such debased farce.
Graphic:
Within an overall thicker white frame, within a thinner red frame, a faded headstot of UK PM Sir Keir Starmer, in profile, sits to the right and behind text.

In the bottom right quadrant of the red frame, the UK Labour logo has broken and partially fallen to that corner, but, in the fall, the 'Labour Rose' has broken off entirely, rolling to the centre of the base of the white frame, whilst also sitting across the line of the red frame.

Text:
(From a post of George Monbiot's) -
No one who cares about wildlife and ecosystems is now likely to vote Labour in 2029.
Or about Gaza.
Or poverty.
Or inequality.
Or international aid.
Or corporate power.
Or democratic reform.
Or racism.
Or trans rights.
So that's goodbye to just about its entire vote.
What are they playing at? A slightly doctored image of a jubilant Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong [splattered with some of the blood of 20,000 dead Palestinian children which she enabled] and PM Anthony Albanese, cheerily giving a double thumbs-up.
A mock ALP/Lib logo.

Text:
Oh, DEPRAVITY is fine by us.
We're proper bastards. Graphic:
The design of the iZraeli flag is used to highlight text.
The central Star of David has been replaced by the top half of a Nazi Swastika, text replaces the bottom half.

Text, white within the top blue horizontal line:
The iZrael State corrals Palestinians through carpet bombing,
starving as many as they explode, then, through the promise of food aid, expose the survivors to endless firing squads.

Text, blue and covering the bottom half of the Swastika:
The Nazis captured Jews, shipped them in rail cattle cars, promised them the humanity of cleansing showers, and gased them with Zyklon B, derived from hydrogen cyanide.

Text, white within the bottom blue horizontal line:
The ghost of Adolf Eichmann must be confused.
Was he executed for committing genocide or
committing genocide without orgasmic joy?
