It is so sad that foreign scientist and physicians genuinely need to fear going to the ASH meeting. Ice and border cops don’t care if you’re a scientist. In fact, attacking doctors and scientist is part of Trump’s plan. Would it be possible to hold ASH in Canada? APA has done that.

Question for the oncologists and scientist: is this good news? With the FDA’s new policy of ultra rapid approval of drugs, should I (an FL patient) bhave faith that efficacy and safety have truly been evaluated?

“Lovely”? That may be true, but it’s completely irrelevant to her accomplishments as a physician-scientist. And it inadvertently trivializes her. Would you mention a male Dr’s looks or charming personality?

The big difference is that DOGE kills fast.

Oh my God. None of my oncologists have ever taken my complaints about itching seriously. They tell me “it doesn’t make much sense“ or “use lotion“. And I am seeing some of the best FL specialists in the world. Ugh.

It’s like we’re drinking the last of the wine. Alas.

Too bad this pre-clinical research will die on the vine thanks to Trump and Musk. Those of us with B cell neoplasms get to die earlier. A feature in Musks’ eyes.

This is terrible for the children, but it’s also terrible for people who are immune suppressed. And a potential death sentence for people who get bone marrow transplants. Such callousness.

I fired my oncologist who said COVID was “just a cold” (people with my specific illness are at unusually high risk from covid). And of course, they were unmasked. My new oncologist wears a mask all day, every day in clinic. She said she does it. “to protect my patients”. I love her!

The news doesn’t care. Trump voters don’t care. One of the lymphoma support groups on Facebook has banned people who tried to talk about funding cuts because it’s “politics” For MAGA cancer patients, Trump matters more than their own lives.
