victoria is a greedy, selfish little thing, but her team helped her feel safe while walking through the streets filled with conclave members that could have the potential to see through her disguise magic.
so she wanted to say thanks in a meaningful way by paying for her teams meals.
so when they had breakfast the next day, learning that some "halfling girl" came by and paid of all their meals, the group immediately became paranoid that the food was poisoned or something, forgetting that victoria disguises herself as a halfing, and making a big fuss over some free pancakes.
victoria was very much NOT expecting that kind of reaction....
but it was really fucking funny.

If anyone actually cares about the backstory, she didn't get an eye patch because she got injured...she misspoke in front of a Fey creature, saying that "her eye's aint what they used to be".
she then got her eyes ripped out, and then was given "fixed" eyes.
naturally she didn't trust her new eyes, and had it confirmed that the fey could now see through her eyes. Now she wears an eye patch to block out any fey that wants to be nosey
