There is a way forward, for cleaner energy, but it will take time and there isn’t a quick easy answer. But yes, the super big guys are already working on how they will continue to make money when this finite resource is done.

I am in SW MS. My dad worked offshore and my husband works in a different capacity but still in Oil and Gas in West TX. The new series, Landman, tackles some of these issues. The world is still very dependent on oil, but the big corporations are indeed looking at the future and a way out.

We didn’t have cable until I was in 11th grade, so growing up any sick days were spent watching PBS. I watched many hours of opera and symphony orchestral performances & I wanted to be an opera singer when I was little, especially since Callas was so talented and glamorous.

Former educator and I can attest to your observation. 1st we started paying coaches more, then let them “teach” history class (which they really didn’t). Snowball effect over 40-50 years and now we have generations who value sports over actual education.
