I live in So Cal, more than our share of homeless. Some are like the man in the article, but many are on drugs or mentally ill. Given $5k a month, they'd not be able to house themselves, their brains are not clear enough to do so. We need free rehab, affordable housing, free mental health care.

I hate to sound like a bitter old woman union member, but I hope every single person in a union that voted for Trump gets kicked out of their union and pushed into making minimum wage.

The whole trans issue for Republicans is to gin up hate amongst their bas. Their hate feels good to them, it gives them adrenaline and serotonin bumps. It keeps them part of the Republican machine.

She's wrong. It's an attempt to keep the base filled with hate, because hate is kind of like clicks and likes on social media, it gives a rush of adrenaline and serotonin. It's the hate not the distraction.
