For October I specifically chose an art challenge that would challenge me to practice things l like but rarely draw. Be aware that the scifi/fantasy stuff you're seeing on my feed is quite unlike the nudes/sexuality I usually do.

Life achievement unlocked: finally had a reason to use all the skeletal Halloween decorations I keep around my apartment all year round as art references. I think this now means I can use my Spirit Halloween purchases as a tax write-off.

regrettably if you try to point this out online you'll get yelled out by 79208 journalists going OH SO YOU WANT JOURNALISTS TO STARVE??? even if you're, say, a journalist yourself, and point out that while there are clearly no easy answers, the status quo isn't exactly working for society

Artists: please record little things about your art and process. I keep a detailed daily art journal, but you don't have to get that in depth. Take pictures of your supplies, keep receipts, take note when you sell things. Art historians will thank you in the distant future.
