I am pretty sure "God's country" wouldn't rank highest in things like racism, alcoholism, domestic violence, heart disease, obesity, child poverty, unemployment, minimum wages and maternal/infant deaths and lowest in education and standard of living indices. Or intolerance.

That is why people voted for Trump-they wanted to preserve straight, white, male privilege. Even if it means they suffer, as long as someone else suffers more and "knows their place". I hate the 49% who voted for Trump, but I still love my country.

It's terrible; MA has had free school lunch and breakfast for years. It's nice that we're ranked as the best public schools in the country, but it means nothing if kids are going to start getting ripped off in other states when public schools are defunded by vouchers for private religious schools.

It's all about getting the taxpayers to pay for people to send their kids to religious schools. It's a violation of the 1st Amendment. If they want to send their kids to Jesus school they can pay for it themselves.

I can't understand why farmers (or anyone outside the 1%) keep voting Republican. What are they afraid of, that the Democrats are going to give them healthcare? Preserve Social Security? Feed poor children? The horror of the left!

I think more people are waking up and realizing that "owning the libs" wasn't worth ruining the country by giving it to the oligarchs.

A plurality means a majority didn't vote for him, but because of third parties he won. Too many white women voted for the Green Party, which is nice but a waste of a vote. The "pick me's that voted for Trump hurt us. They don't mind betraying every other American woman if their lives are nice.

I wish they did let AOC or JC do the response, but they picked a "get along with MAGA" puppet who should be primaried out if she lets it slide.

👍🏻 If we can't form our own country, maybe Canada will take pity on us\ and let us join. We're not the ones who voted in Trump. I'd rather share all the money 'we the blue states' give to the red states who did this. We would be the richest, most well-educated country in the world-with healthcare!
