Yeah, for a couple of my anti-anxiety/depression meds I had a ~2 week kick off with some *very* horrible side effects that seemingly exacerbated my symptoms before the waned and became much more manageable.

Strength really comes from community. More of us faced queerphobia these last years in a way that resurrects horrible memories from decades before. Finding your people; together shedding tears of pain & joy, loving & living & celebrating despite the sting of the world. It's exorcism & it's renewal.

Yes, this is a joke - i have met many lovely people in academia - but its systems are harmful: too often have i listened to tearful postdocs upending their life for another temporary contract, asking when to quit their dream, whilst permanent positions are given to an established senior researcher
