Bonus: those laws are still in place — with broad support! with pride, even! — after deNazification.

Two words for you:
Nuremberg trials.

* Get the laws on the books;
* COLLECT THE EVIDENCE;
* add the newly spelled-out crimes to their long rap sheets;
* & _when we can_ — then bust them harder.

They hanged Nazis, at Nuremberg. The ones they could prove deserved it.

Stop with the circular firing squad, pls.
We have real enemies to fight.
January 29, 2026 at 6:16 AM
Like cowards.
January 29, 2026 at 6:15 AM
… they just put tape over their name on their badge.
January 29, 2026 at 6:15 AM
But a whole lot of them have been taping over their badges so their name doesn’t show. For many years.

Less effective at anonymizing, but aiming for the same result:
impunity.

Key insight.
Hard to believe, but probably true.
January 29, 2026 at 5:49 AM
… We’re warmer indoors, in cleaner clothes, can easily travel faster & much farther, survive or avoid formerly deadly illnesses, & in many ways have better food. Etc!

True, we do all still have that obligation to take care of each other.

Poor dumbass can’t understand mutual aid - just dominance.

We don’t need to have serfs or servants to live like Victorian British aristos.
We have electricity.
And good freight transport.
January 29, 2026 at 5:46 AM
Got it. Your point lands very differently if it’s coming from a country with a more civilized healthcare system.

But yeah … it’s Alex Pretti.
And we will never get over it.
January 29, 2026 at 12:41 AM
Ayuh. Shovel in a timely fashion. It’ll just be harder, later.
January 28, 2026 at 8:24 AM
And we are forbidden by the constitution to lock up any citizen without a legitimate reason. (Standing on a street in Minneapolis blowing a whistle or filming the public scene is not a legitimate reason.)
ICE has no jurisdiction over US citizens.

And yet.
Reforming the rot is impossible.
Abolish.
January 28, 2026 at 8:11 AM
We are monstrous for allowing ICE to kidnap multiple *native Americans* on immigration pretexts.
They. Did. Not. Immigrate. Not to the USA.
January 28, 2026 at 8:06 AM
Reform it by shutting it DOWN.
We do not need to lock up adults for misdemeanor immigration glitches.
We do not beed to lock up refugees, with their perfect right to be here.
We do not need to lock up anyone for brown skin or a foreign accent.

We do not need to lock up CHILDREN for … *anything*.
January 28, 2026 at 8:01 AM
Alex Pretti worked at the VA.
So, no.
Veterans already paid their entire health-care bill.
January 28, 2026 at 7:42 AM
😢 🎻
January 28, 2026 at 7:38 AM
Leading the way. Literally showing us how to step up when we’re the one tagged by the universe to Do Something about … fascism.
January 28, 2026 at 7:15 AM
We already know the horrific tangled debris field of Franken-references that results from asking generative AI to *suggest related work I may have missed*! 😱 🙈

Pro tip: Never do this.
Not until we have AI whose entire job is NOT *making plausible things up*
January 28, 2026 at 6:26 AM
Is that … a baby drsgon?!?!!
January 28, 2026 at 6:08 AM
This local does not think our tidepools are boring! They’re some of the best on earth.
I give tours.
January 28, 2026 at 6:01 AM
Wondering (*if* you can type) — how is typing the prompt carefully specifying the LaPlace equation any easier than just going to the Intro and … typing the equation?

If you’re writing that paper, you already *know* the equation. And your arguments. And exactly where in the Intro you want it to go.
January 27, 2026 at 10:43 PM
… as you say.
“Bonnet mold infection“ suits the situation & fits the mood.
January 27, 2026 at 5:51 PM
I don’t know if I’ve ever seen it!
It just ... seems like getting infected would wreck your whole day.
January 27, 2026 at 5:50 PM
Incompetent at posting to SM. Didn’t even arrange the scene:
• the magazine is upside down — you can’t see whether it’s loaded with bullets;
• & the magazine is so close to the barrel and the add-on optical sight that non-gun users can’t even parse what they’re seeing.

Amateurs!
