I was raised this way, for all the RWNJ reasons. But I also wonder if this mindset also factors into laws about buying beer for minors. Look, it's not MY problem their parents can't teach them not to drink. I'm just pickin' up somethin' for 'em as long as I'm already goin' into the store. (giggle)

HAH! I remember that one.

Our office had moved to 100% WFH by then, with daily vid-conf meetings. A couple days after that presser, I changed my virtual background to Four Seasons Landscaping. Colleagues chuckled.

As a (multiple) former chili cookoff winner, I find that anyone who dismisses others' opinions with condescending phrases like "the cheap stuff" has some issues to work out.

Bear in mind, all of this is subjective. Nobody's preferences can be empirically proven true or false.

Same. But I’m getting the impression that anything with a tomato-based sauce does. Pasta dishes hugely so. Reheated lasagne is mind-blowing.
